Powerful, balanced woman.

I am Kathryn, a 41 year old woman, mother of two beautiful boys, wife to an incredible man and manager of an authentic boxing gym in which a lot of men are coached and mentored. Although, quite feminine, I am consistently surrounded by males but find balance in my deep connection to nature.

The thought of experiencing a boudoir photo shoot excited me because it looked sensual, and feminine. I love seeing women owning their sexuality and Marina’s elegant images portray this. I wished for her to capture images of me exuding strength, power, sensuality and gentleness. A dream photoshoot representing “the work” I’ve put in to become the powerful, balanced woman I am today.

Marina chose to shoot on the sand dunes at the ocean so we could utilise the wind and sunlight. I had told her I adore feeling the elements on my skin and love the femininity and mystery of the sheer fabric that she uses in her work.

I trusted Marina from the moment we spoke and felt safe and comfortable leading up to and throughout the shoot to naturally express myself even nude. She had my back the entire time and in a public setting.

It was beautiful bathing naked in the setting sun- what an experience! I also realised “modelling” was harder than I thought. Marina was very encouraging and it was a full, very special afternoon in nature with her.

I love the moments Marina captured in the varied images she took. She has a wonderful eye. Seeing her images of me changed the perspective that I had of my body which was beautifully liberating! She nailed the brief as well.

I would highly recommend this experience with Marina because she deeply cares about empowering women through her art. She is passion driven, very sensitive, respectful, extremely experienced and professional. Her work is of quality and certainly delivers a wholesome “boudoir” experience from start to finish.
