Naked photoshoot on the beach

Where to start??

Well like most women I have always had a problem with my body image. When I hit my mid-thirties I gained a lot of weight due to a knee injury.

I stopped riding my horses due to my weight. A decision that was hard to make as horses are my passion.

I hit 44 years and started to change my mindset, time to love myself for who and what I am. I changed my daily habits from my food intake to how I thought of myself I have since lost close to 30kg.

I have started riding again and loving life.

A friend sent me a link to apply for a Lady Godiva photoshoot so I thought to myself what better way to self-empowerment and being a big water bug though the beach would be amazing.

Before the shoot, I was a little nervous more about how the people on the beach would react to seeing me naked on the beach with my horse. Marina made me feel so beautiful I totally forgot about the people and EVERYTHING fell away easily. Being naked in front of the camera was so amazing. The feeling is so hard to describe.... so natural, majestic, wild, unrestricted enjoying every part of me and my beautiful Mare Allie.

When I first saw the pictures of Allie and myself I focused on Allie more than me as I was not ready to see myself as other people saw me but the more I looked at the photos the more I began to see the beauty in them and me. I saw a strong confidant woman with a strong and confidant horse. It is about women empowering women and I love that. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I would highly recommend Marina for anyone that wants to give it a go. This lady causes you to see yourself in the most beautiful way. One of the most amazing experiences in my life so far. - Simone as ‘Lady Godiva’
