Couples Boudoir Part 1

Two men - one love story captured in an intimate couples boudoir photography session. One boudoir experience - two reflections. Part 1

Matthew :

I had absolutely no apprehensions about doing this couples boudoir shoot but knew Diego always has his strong aversions to being in front of the camera. I was looking forward to the day with building anticipation. It felt thrilling to be opening up space to fully meditate on and be present within the love I have for this incredible man. A love that has only continued to bloom, enriching me even during the crazy isolation and disconnection we have all had last year.

2020 redeemed itself for me by thankfully bringing Diego into my life. Someone who has helped me connect even more deeply to my mission and purpose in life. I saw this shoot as taking a moment out to celebrate that - the beautiful routine of us. Our private moments of shared intimacy together.

Despite the artifice of discussing the set up for the shots, it all came out so naturally reflecting how we spend our time together. We commenced with him walking over to embrace me for what would be the first of our establishing shots – the custom of Diego arriving at my house. I was flooded with emotion, overpowered with the joy that I finally found him, and to have him by my side. The tears came from that very moment – I was so tapped into the frequency of him and me.

Any potential for the self-consciousness of this being a photoshoot slipped away completely. It was just us. Everything unfolded so beautifully. It was an experience I will treasure for the rest of my life.

I was floored when I saw how the photos turned out. I knew that they would be good, as there had been several moments throughout the shoot when Marina had gushed with glee. Nothing prepared me though to have the mood and weight of those images thrust before my eyes. To see our love reflected back and done so beautifully. I looked over to him and he had been moved to tears. I took his hand. He was speechless as well. These images said more about us than we ever could with words. - Matthew Adams

In the next post Diego will share his reflection on the couples boudoir experience.
