Giveaway winner

Since the first year in my business, I have started a tradition - every International Women’s Day I would give away boudoir experiences. 2020 wasn’t an exception. I gave away three boudoir sessions including wall art total value $3000.

To win an experience the participants had to feel a questionnaire where they shared their personal story and what it would mean to them to win this experience. I have received 37 applications and have spoken to most of the applicants on the phone before choosing the three winners. It wasn’t an easy task. The personal stories the women shared with me were touching. Those stories were full of pain and challenges but also strength, resilience and hope. Each of them deserved to have an experience that celebrates and empowers them.

Julie-Anne was one of the three winners and received a boudoir session in nature including wall art. Despite all the tragic experiences in her past added to the health issues, she is still a very positive person. Julie-Anne your strength, positivity, and willingness to put yourself outside of your comfort zone are beyond inspirational. It was such a pleasure to meeting and photographing you!

“I entered the competition to win a free shoot with Marina and I won.  Why did I enter I hear you ask the answer is complicated. I decided at the end of last year after separating from my long term partner and just a few weeks later my beautiful mother passed away. I also suffer from a chronic incurable nerve condition that makes life very difficult......Let’s not dwell on the negative! I entered the competition to get out of my comfort zone! I decided this year was going to be all about me and getting out of my comfort zone! Standing on a rock with just your knickers on is a good start!  Marina has a way to make you feel supported and comfortable when you are at your most vulnerable. Most people believe we are not pretty enough or model material......Well, that’s a lie! I’m not "model material"  but I literally cried when I saw the pictures for the first time! That woman in the pictures was beautiful, strong, happy, and a total goddess and she was me! Pushing past the negative is so difficult but I think everyone deserves a moment to see how incredible we all are, our stories may be different our shapes and sizes may be different but that’s the beauty that Marina captures! That we are all beautiful! I am forever grateful!” Julie-Anne
