Dessi

"She had this way of always finding the good and believing in everything despite all that she had seen..." ~ Becca Lee

When I found this quote it reminded me of Dessi. That is how I believe everyone sees her - a kind and very positive person. She sees herself as a mom, a daughter, a sister, and a partner.  Here is how I saw her through my camera during her boudoir session - a feminine and sensual woman. 

"Deciding to have photographs taken was one thing, but to actually do it was a totally different thing - let alone do it with your clothes off - but Marina was there for me the whole times. She was genuine and lovely but professional at the same time. In the beginning, the shots definitely threw me out of my comfort zone but with Marina’s gentle approach I started to feel ease and enjoy the whole process. I had wonderful rare experience and felt so special as she was no rush in taking the photographs. Those three hours were exclusively for me and me only. At the end of the session, I felt different. It’s hard to explain but I felt somehow reborn and energetic - and Marina was no longer just the photographer who took the boudoir session of me but she became someone who shared the journey with.

Those process itself were already worth taking but wait until you see her creations. I found myself looking at somebody that I thought I knew all my life but I didn’t.

Marina captures the best of people even when they’re at their most vulnerable.
