Boudoir on the beach
“A few months ago I saw one of Marina’s post on Facebook and I love her project, the idea of inspiring people to embrace the uniqueness of themselves. Her idea is completely in alignment with my believes I spent year’s rejecting myself and 5 years ago I started my self-love journey I was emotionally, physically and sexually abused in my childhood because of that I had to learn how to forgive and to love myself. Took me time and courage for me to be able to open my “eyes” to look at myself and to feel loved. For many years I “confused “ myself with my life experiences, until the day I realised that I’m not what has happened to me and I became curious to understand who I really am. I realised that nothing has happened to me! They happened for me so I could see how resilient and talented I am. I think everyone needs to go through this journey of finding who they really are, is the only way to be free and to leave a more meaningful and prosperous life.
I decided to do the boudoir shoot to have as a memory for myself, also to inspire and encourage others to do for themselves. I chose the beach because I love the ocean-atmosphere it helps me to reset and reconnect.
Before the photo shooting, I was curious to see how the experience looks like. I felt very calm and relaxed during the session Marina made me feel very comfortable and safe. I think Marina’s passion and love for what she does inspire us and somehow you trust her and you want to go for it! I never thought I would have the courage to be “naked “ on the beach …
When I first saw my images I could see something that a never realised before, how we are one with nature. Some of the pictures on the rock did surprise me and I could not tell if I’m the extension of the rocks or if they are the extension of myself. I could feel my essence!!!
I would definitely do it again! Also, I recommend that you have your own boudoir session done!!! Very often we appreciate other people their pictures, etc… but we need to do the same for ourselves and Marina is the best person to help you to create a very memorable day and to "capture" the uniqueness of yourself. “ - Jackeline
