Boudoir Style Photography
We greeted each other like good friends. She showed me to the table while we chatted about what we had been up to since we last saw each other. I pulled out my tablet and touched the screen pulling up her boudoir style photography session. She sat and watched the screen. I sat and watched her reaction. To my dismay, she started to cry. I wasn’t expecting that. What had gone wrong? Didn’t she like the images? But she wasn’t unhappy. She was overwhelmed. She looked at me and said she had never considered herself as beautiful, sensual or sexy. It was in that moment I realised I was not just a Boudoir photographer but a woman who could help people no matter their size, shape or age see themselves through loving eyes.

I was getting hurt and frustrated at every failed attempt, but when I got to the end of the hallway there was a space, an empty mould. I heard a voice say, "you were never meant to fit in, you were meant to make your own space". I felt free, I felt accepted. So I moulded myself, and I fit.
