"Lady Godiva" - naked on a horse

Remember my “Lady Godiva” model call?

I was looking for experienced equestrians who were interested in participating in a boudoir shoot inspired by “Lady Godiva” legend.

This was my first shoot. Don't let the sunshine full you. Mid-July in Girraween National Park around 8 am - it was hardly over 0 degrees. I feel the deepest respect to every brave woman who is participating in this project, however, this is a next-level dedication. Ashlee, you are a wonder woman!

“Hi Marina, I just wanted to send you a little thank you message and let you know that I loved every minute on Saturday during the shoot. 

I had never heard of a boudoir shoot before meeting Marina a few weeks ago, as soon as she told me a little about it I was instantly intrigued. I was shown some of Marina’s work and It was incredible so I knew whatever we decided to do it would turn out amazing. I was so nervous leading up to the shoot because I had never done any modelling before let alone being naked in front of a camera. I was so nervous about how I would look, I tried to lose weight quickly but that was never happening lol I am a mum to a 2-year-old boy and bringing him into this world gave me my curves and tiger strips, after having him I was very self-conscious about my body and how I would look in the photos. 

Marina made me feel so beautiful and comfortable within myself, she made the whole experience so much fun. It was definitely an experience I will never forget. 

Seeing my photos for the first time brought the biggest smile to my face, nothing could have wiped it off. Marina really captures the connection between my horses and myself in her images, it was extremely hard to only choose a few, they all turned out better than I ever could have expected. Those images made me realise even with my marks and curves I am still beautiful just the way I am. The whole experience was so raw - being with my horses and really connecting with nature. It was truly empowering experience.

I would highly recommend marina to anyone who would be interested in doing a boudoir shoot, she makes the whole experience captivating. I would definitely do it again in a heartbeat. “ ~ Ashlee
