Confidence
When I told my friends that I was going to do a boudoir shoot, they commented on how brave I must be. But I had met and spoken with Marina, and I had seen the images on her website, and that gave me absolute confidence.
Confidence makes a woman beautiful and attractive and powerful. A confident woman loves and values herself, and is open to new ideas and experiences and people. Confidence can be a sexy quality too; it takes confidence to flirt or to pose in a boudoir session. I couldn't have done this when I was younger.
Confidence is a woman's greatest asset, but beautiful lingerie comes a close second.
I was initially unsure about doing a boudoir shoot because I’m in my 50s, with wrinkles and thighs and a belly. But Marina helped me realise that the beauty of the female body lies not in a shape, but in what it can do. Looking at the images she produced I was both surprised and delighted to recognise my own unique beauty.
I imagined that a boudoir shoot would be intimidating, but it was liberating. I thought you had to be ‘sexy’, but you just need a little confidence. I expected to feel vulnerable, but I felt empowered. I don’t usually like having my photo taken, and I’m always critical of the results. But Marina made the whole experience fun, and for the first time in my life, I have photos that I genuinely love.
