Bare on the beach

When I first saw Marina’s request for Brand Ambassadors and read about her work, it immediately resonated with me. I’d also not had a professional photoshoot before (apart from headshots taken for business), let alone one that bares all. It made me think about how I actually barely have any photos of myself (I’m usually the one taking them) and that if part of my work is helping women on their ‘self-love’ and ‘I am enough’ journey then it’s time I had my own photoshoot to celebrate all of me - raw, uninhibited, free.

I had decided ahead of time that I was all in. I’ve never been one to get naked in front of people, but for this trip, I wasn’t going to take any of my judgments and inhibitions with me. I was ready to go all in and enjoy it - and I did!

I definitely wanted a beach location. I had seen Marina’s other beach photos and I loved them. I also love the sand and the sea and there’s a sense of connectedness I feel when I’m there... and it feels like freedom.

The seclusion of the location definitely helped me to relax and immerse myself in the experience, and of course, Marina is a master at what she does and helps you to feel that it’s all completely natural. How can you not be excited about your shoot with the energy that she brings?

I actually enjoyed being in the raw and found myself thinking that I can’t wait to do it again sometime. When you let go of your own judgements, let go of your worry of other people’s judgements and surrender to the experience you realise there are no flaws and nothing to be ashamed of.

Marina’s boudoir shoots make a great addition on the road to love, acceptance and appreciation of your body and yourself. It’s a wonderful experience for any woman. I’m looking forward to my next one.
