Once a year a boudoir in Berlin

Louisa is a friend of mine and I photographed her several times, usually portraits. Last year, end of September I took Louisa’s first boudoir session in Berlin. It wasn’t a regular boudoir shoot, we spent 12 hours in her apartment chatting and photographing. One year later we met again and I did her second boudoir shoot. We both decided that it is going to be a long-lasting project. We are planning on doing Louisa’s boudoir session every year around September/October.

I believe, photographs are a product of collaboration between the photographer and the client. A boudoir session is a creative process where the emotions and feelings (on both sides) are playing the huge part beside experiences and skills (on the side of the photographer), so is the trust between photographer and client. It will be an interesting and salutary experience for both of us. To see how my photographic style develops on the basis of Louisa’s photographs. For Louisa, it would be amazing to see how she grows as a woman, what impact her life situation – (family, partnership, work) would have on her sensuality. It will be a documentation of Louisa’s womanhood.

I feel very excited and a little bit nervous about it.
