A woman who never likes to stand still

What is your story?

I am still discovering that very question out. I'm a woman who never likes to stand still. I aim to never stop evolving into a woman I can be proud to be. Always learning, always caring and appreciating the experiences I am blessed to have and those I share those experiences with!

Why did you want to do a boudoir shoot?

I was blessed to be able to be a brand ambassador for Marina, and a boudoir shoot was part of the process. It was something that I would not have considered previously, but it was just great to experience the process and to push my comfort zones whilst gaining a better appreciation of myself.

What was the location of your shoot, and why did you choose it?

After talking with Marina about my life and what I have experienced, it was suggested that a nature shoot would best represent me. I find being in nature -particularly the ocean has really helped soothe my soul, so it was a perfect spot.

How did you feel preparing for the session?

I was anxious and, at times, overwhelmed, but at the same time, looking forward to the experience.

What was it like to be naked/ half-naked in front of the camera?

After having completed several monthly events with Marina, I felt very comfortable in her presence. Marina always gets excited when she gets a certain shot or captures something through the lens, so it makes you feel reassured and empowered that she is capturing something unique.

How did you feel after the session? What have you thought when you saw your images for the first time?

I was so tired after the session and slept so well that night! I felt really positive about the experience and had a really great afternoon. Viewing the images was surreal but made me smile and recognise that I am special, powerful and beautiful, all in my individual way. After doing a few shoots, I was able to have a better appreciation for the art and look at the entire image.

Would you do it again?

Definitely, it was a very unique experience, and I am grateful that I did it.

Would you recommend a boudoir shoot to other women/men, and why?

I would definitely recommend a boudoir shoot to others as it allows you to get more in tune with your own body and emotions and appreciate yourself. I went on this journey to have a better relationship with myself, and I feel that this is what I have accomplished.

Do you have any tips for women/men who are planning to do a boudoir shoot?

Ride the emotions, step out of your comfort zone, be kind to yourself and most importantly, trust the process.
